Whose Detroit? covers one of this nation’s most important urban uprising of the 20th century and its aftermath and not only the long term impact the Detroit Rebellion of 1967, but also addresses issues of great contemporary importance such as police brutality, America’s War on Crime and Drug War, and the origins of mass incarceration in the age of urban decline.
